Meet the Team

Rachyl Johnson

Executive Administrator

Rachyl Alyzabeth Johnson is still figuring out what she wants to be when she grows up! She is a perfectionist, a self-motivator, and a consistent overachiever. She is passionate, uniquely creative, with recognized intelligence and leadership skills.

Overly ambitious, and perhaps motivated by a certain someone back home, Rachyl graduated college from Southeastern University, in Lakeland, FL, with a Bachelor of Science, Dual-Major in Communication and Theatre, Summa Cum Laude, with a GPA of 4.0, in April 2008.   And it only took her 2 years.

At Southeastern University, Rachyl pursued her passion for the arts. She co-led and directed a cutting edge, contemporary theatre troupe; authored hilarious, yet poignantly relevant scripts, booked productions and performed 15+ shows on a 5 state tour. She was also actively involved as a children’s ministry actor, performing for 200 kids at a local church. She also performed a self-authored, 45 minute one-man show.

In May of 2008, college ambitions achieved, she married a talented musician/Starbucks Supervisor, Joel Johnson, and began her happily ever after.

Since graduating college, she has experienced a unique combination of work experiences. She worked at a high-end Design Center, Sisters Unique, first as a Project Manager for designers, then as the Design Manager. She executed design jobs, participating at a high-level in commercial & residential projects. Then promoted to Assistant to the CEO of Sisters Unique, Rachyl worked aggressively to help build company operations and organize systems.

An animated writer, Rachyl continues to capture the passions of local businesses with engaging stories in The Oyster Pointer. In the mere 6 months she’s been writing for the newspaper, she’s already earned two front page cover stories.

In the fall she will pursue her Masters from Regent University.

When I’m not working I can usually be found…Spending time with my amazing husband with whom there is never a dull moment…Hanging with friends and my family…working out…“People watching” from my front porch, reading my latest find...or rearranging, yet again, my entire living room.

I feel passionately about…

I am passionate about creative and innovative communication.

Edgy, relevant, drama that makes Non-Christians think and Christians think twice.

Balancing creativity with structure in an effort to release flexibility and spontaneity.

Being a great wife to my husband, (minus the cooking part).

Some of my favorite books are…The good old classics, Les Miserables, Rebecca, and Gone With the Wind….with a mix some modern reads like Wild Goose Chase, Blue Like Jazz, The Artist in the Church, Thinking Like a Director and for the rest of the newlyweds, What Men Want…

My family is…Ridiculously crazy and full of life. Unconditionally loving in hard times. Cranium and Catch Phrase addicts…Bocce ball enthusiasts and spontaneous musicians. A family get-together is a party in itself.

I regularly enjoy…A BIG cup of Starbucks in the morning; ok maybe a couple of cups…quiet runs just before dawn…jam sessions with my hubby in his recording studio…

My most (interesting / challenging / unique) job before Carawan Global Communications & Consulting…Working in an interior design store as the Design Manager. From juggling fabric books, to hanging art from a precarious ladder, to traveling to Highpoint, where I saw the most beautiful designer showrooms…my job was unpredictable. I was both inspired and exhausted every day!

I enjoy being part of the Carawan Global team because…There is always excitement and true zest for life. I love the being a part of a team helping others to find joy through clarity and motivation…And, I love a challenge.
