For more than 20 years Doug has helped people, teams and organizations unpack and apply time-tested truths to bring their lives and environments into alignment with their values, goals and relationships. His passion is translated into developing and implementing transformational training courses for Carawan Global clients that focus on identifying individual strengths and applying them effectively within the larger organization.
Doug specializes in motivating, equipping, encouraging, and empowering leaders to build high performance teams. His unique ability to add humor and enthusiasm to every aspect of the training process provides a distinctly memorable and effective learning experience.
Before joining Carawan Global Doug served as associate pastor at Spring Branch Community Church, where he taught weekly and oversaw ministry team development for its 3,000+ members. Prior to that he was an associate pastor at Spanish River Community Church in Boca Raton, Florida serving as the Director of Assimilation and Director of Programming,
At Carawan Global he has worked with a number of clients including Business Networking International, SwimWays Corporation, Chesapeake Public Schools, Mr. Rogers Windows, and YoungLife Capernaum.
Doug is also a frequently sought-after motivational speaker who has encouraged, informed and entertained thousands of people nationwide through numerous audience formats including keynote speaker at major conferences, sales force training sessions, adult learning classes and church/ministry events.
He is also an accomplished actor, event host and master of ceremonies, and on-camera host. He is an experienced producer and actor working in both film and TV. He has hosted the Easter Seals Telethon and appeared in corporate and commercial work on Discovery and the CW television channels as well as Starbucks, Motorola, U.S. Army, and Cox Communications.
Doug holds a Bachelors degree in Speech Communications and Theatre Arts from Wake Forest University and a Masters of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary.
